There is a reason templated consulting is so common: it is fast to sell and fast to deliver. A firm can arrive with a fixed operating model, drop it into place, and leave behind a tidy binder. What it cannot do is account for the business that was already there — the network, the margins, the people, and the identity that made the company worth advising in the first place.
We start from the opposite premise. Every engagement is a customized solution, weighted to the business in front of us. That sounds slower, and at the outset it is. But a solution engineered to fit removes the friction a template introduces, and that is where the compounding begins.
Customization is not decoration. It is the mechanism by which scalability and efficiency become real. A process that matches how the work actually flows costs less to run and less to extend. The same plan imposed from the outside has to be fought into place, and it tends to erode the moment attention moves elsewhere.
The outcome we care about is productivity — and productivity is downstream of fit. When the solution belongs to the business, the business keeps it, improves it, and scales it without re-inventing the work each time. That is the case for customization, and it is the case we make to every client we partner with.
